Dynasty Budget Foam Mattress Review
Summary
A budget memory foam mattress that feels just as comfortable as name brand foam mattresses.
Great choice for: Anyone looking for an inexpensive but comfortable foam mattress.
Avoid if: You are looking for a mattress that will last at least ten years. The Dynasty mattress’s lifespan is around 5-7 years. Also not ideal if you prefer the bounce of a spring or hybrid mattress.
The Dynasty Cool Breeze is one of the most affordable 12” foam mattress you can find. It offers the comfort of more expensive brands like Leesa and Puffy at less than half the price.
The only thing you sacrifice for the lower price tag is durability. Don’t expect the Dynasty mattress to last a full decade like other more expensive foam mattresses.
But if you are on a budget, it’s an excellent choice that will serve you well for 5-7 years.
Read on for our full review.
If you want a longer-lasting but still affordable mattress, we recommend Nectar. Like the Nectar mattress, Dynasty uses an all-foam construction. But Nectar uses higher quality foam that lasts longer.

About Dynasty Mattress
Dynasty Mattress is a company that manufactures high-quality mattresses and sells them at a significantly lower price compared to name brand mattresses.
They have been around since 2007 when they started selling their mattresses on Amazon.
Today, they sell a wide range of mattresses and bedding products, including pillows, adjustable beds, and RV mattresses.
Social Impact
The company has no charity or social program that we know of.
But they donate returned mattresses to local charities — additionally, they manufacturer their mattresses to CertiPUR-US standards.
This means they have no ozone-depleting chemicals or any harmful substances that can affect your health.
Purchase Process
The Dynasty Cool Breeze mattress is available on Amazon, where you can also read some of the more than 2,000 customer reviews (most of them positive).
The mattress is available in several sizes, including twin XL, Full XL, Queen, King, and Cal King. They also have several specialty sizes, including RV Queen short, short King, Split King, and Split Cal King.
Price
The Dynasty Cool Breeze mattress is surprisingly cheap, especially considering it is a 12-inch 4-layer mattress.

120-day Trial
Similar to many other online mattresses, Dynasty offers a generous 120-day trial period. That’s more than enough time to test the mattress and determine whether it’s the best choice for you.
This return period applies even if you bought the mattress from Amazon.
But returns are not free. You’ll be responsible for shipping costs, which is in line with the return policy of most Amazon products.
The company does its best to donate returned mattresses to charity.
30-Year Limited Warranty
A 10-year warranty is standard for foam mattresses. So the 30-year warranty fora Dynasty foam mattress is impressive.
It covers all the usual stuff like sagging, torn cover, and other manufacturing and workmanship defects.
Shipping
All mattresses sizes come with free shipping as long as you are within the United States. They also ship to Alaska and Hawaii.
Most customers say they got their mattresses within 2-3 days.
Delivery and Setup
The mattress is delivered compressed and packed into a box. You should have no trouble getting it inside as long as you have someone to help you lift the box.
There’s no white glove delivery, so get ready to set up the mattress yourself.
If you can’t, and there’s no one around to help you, find a local service that can help with mattress setup. Some can even remove your old mattress.
Once you’ve set up the mattress, give it a few hours to expand to its normal shape and size.
Foundation and Frame
What type of bed frame/support does Dynasty Cool Breeze require?
Any sturdy support will do, including a box spring, solid foundation, or slatted frame.
Does Dynasty Cool Breeze work on an adjustable bed?
Yes, it does.
Care and Cleaning
Is a mattress protector needed for Dynasty Cool Breeze?
The mattress comes with a zippered cover so you can remove and wash it if it stains or gets dirty. You can skip the mattress protector.
However, removing the cover and putting it back is tedious. Most users prefer just buying a waterproof mattress protector. Not only will it keep the cover clean, but it also keeps allergens and molds away from the mattress.
Of course, if you are buying the mattress for a kid or someone with incontinence, a waterproof mattress protector is essential.
Do you need to rotate the Dynasty Cool Breeze mattress?
No, you don’t need to rotate the mattress.
Aesthetics and Styling
I know it is not important to the comfort and quality of the mattress, but I like the style of the Dynasty Cool Breeze mattress.
The 12” height makes it look more expensive than it is.
The cover also looks luxurious. It’s white at the top and sides and brown at the corners.
Construction
The Dynasty Cool Breeze is a 4-layer all-foam mattress. Here’s how the layers are arranged.
3” gel memory foam: The soft top layer provides instant pressure relief when you lie on the mattress. It is infused with gel to improve heat dissipation.
Dual 2” airflow foam layers: The two layers have a special design that enhances ventilation within the mattress. This reduces the amount of heat trapped within the foam and helps keep the mattress cool.
5” high-density foam base: A firm polyfoam base provides deep compression support and ensures the mattress lasts long without sagging.
All the foams used in the Dynasty mattress are CertiPUR-US certified.
Mattress Cover
Dynasty does not specify what type of fabric they’ve used for the cover. But it feels soft and according to reports from customers, does not tear easily even after years of use.
The cover has a zipper in case you ever need to wash it.
Smell/Off-gassing
Some off-gassing is common with new mattresses, especially foam mattresses shipped in a box. That’s why it is a good idea to let the mattress rest for a few hours before sleeping on it.
But the smell is mild and most people did not even notice it. If you experience the smell, let the mattress air out in a well-ventilated room for a day or two.
Sleeping Experience
This is a sub $500 foam mattress, so don’t expect the same sleeping experience as a luxury $1,500+ brand.
But most customers loved it. The top memory foam layer feels soft. It hugs your body in all the right places, preventing pressure pains and reducing how much you toss and turn.
The lower layers provide a nice supportive balance, ensuring you don’t sink in too far.
For most sleepers, it hit the perfect sweet spot between the firm and soft. It feels great whether you sleep on your stomach, back, or side.
Being a memory foam mattress, there’s very little bounce. If you love the bouncy feel of an innerspring mattress, Dynasty is not for you.
It may also not feel all that great during sex.
Another area it’s lacking is edge support. But this is common with foam mattresses, even expensive ones. As long as you are not sleeping right at the edge, you should be okay.
Overall, the sleeping experience is surprisingly good for the price.
Firmness
Dynasty Cool Breeze is a medium-firm mattress, around 6/10, where ten is very firm. This is the best firmness range for most sleepers, including side, back, stomach, and combination sleepers.
But we don’t recommend it for overweight sleepers (200lb or more). It’ll feel too soft and won’t provide the right amount of support.
Remember, you have 120 days to test the mattress at home. So don’t worry that you’ll buy the mattress and then it turns out to be too firm or too soft. You can always return it.
Something important to note is that the firmness does not remain the same throughout the life of the mattress.
Customers who have had theirs for more than two years say they’ve noticed significant softening. Most of them love it, saying it gets more comfortable with time.
Sinkage
Sinkage is similar to other foam mattresses: a bit deeper than a spring mattress but not too deep that it feels like sleeping in a swamp.
Because of reduced edge support, sinkage is more around the edge of the mattress.
Motion Transfer
There’s almost no motion transfer. Foam mattresses like Dynasty are very good at absorbing disturbances.
You won’t feel your partner turning and tossing.
Hot/Cold Issues
Despite being a memory foam mattress, the Dynasty Cool Breeze mattress doesn’t sleep hot.
The gel infused into the top layer and the ventilation-boosting airflow foam layers do a great job keeping the mattress cool.
