Between our stressful lifestyles, the blue light coming from all of our displays, caffeine, and noisy neighbors, the final thing that should be keeping you up at night is a mattress that squeaks each time you move on it.
Maybe at first, it was not that noticeable, but over time, it has gotten to the point where you cannot even reach the light on your nightstand without discovering the dreaded noise.

First, we'll help you determine where all this sound is coming from. That is the first and most crucial step. Following that, we'll help you through the multiple options you have for getting rid of the squeak, based on where the sound is coming from.
You are a grownup, who should not need to take their rendezvous to the ground as not to wake up the rest of the home, and your mattress should not creak like a retired player every time you settle in for the evening.
How to Know Why Your Bed is Making Noise:
First, you have to find out where the squeak is coming from. It might be your mattress, the box spring, or perhaps your frame.
To do it, you will have to separate each of the various bed items to inspect them individually. Hopefully, you have sufficient space in your bedroom to set the mattress and box spring on the floor near each other. Otherwise, do you at a time or transfer your bed to another room for inspection.
Let's start from top to bottom, starting with the mattress. Mattresses rarely have squeaked in them, and it is usually only hybrids, which have coils, that do squeak.
We have never heard an all-foam create any sound. Anyhow, take your mattress and throw it on the ground and roll around on it or have your children jump all over it. If it's the mattress that is squeaking, check to determine if it is still under warranty.
Some Bed Companies, such as Nest Bedding or DreamCloud, come with lifetime warranties. If your mattress is not under warranty, then sorry, but that only means it is time to find a new one.

When buying a new one is not possible, flip over your mattress and cut a tiny hole in the cloth with an innerspring/coil. Spray each one down separately to be sure to cover the one at which the squeaking is coming from.
If it's not the mattress, then see the box spring. The box spring is the most frequent source of bed squeaking. Same as you did the mattress set the box spring on the floor and roll around on it.
If you hear a noise, it is probably an old spring or the wood rubbing against something. We recommend you get a brand-new box spring. There are a few great and affordable options on Amazon.
Even if there was a squeak in the box spring, you should probably check the framework, also. Start by gently putting pressure on various areas of the bed frame and gently shaking.

Check the feet. The sound could be from the bottom of your bed rubbing against the ground, particularly if you have hardwood.
This can even result in scratching your flooring, and no one wants that. It might also be that the bottoms of your bed frame are irregular, causing the mattress to stone.
Consider getting a few furniture pads on Amazon to prevent the erosion between them or level it. You may even take those other old socks which we spoke about over and use them (temporarily).
Purchase a new bed frame. If you have tried these methods and you still can not appear to find the annoying squeaking to cease for at least a couple of days, it may be time to check for a new bed frame. You can get a quality one online like at Amazon without breaking the bank for those sticking to a budget.
Reinforce your foundation. In case you have an RV mattress or a situation where your bed may not have a solid foundation, you will want to add more to the supports. Cinder blocks work but do plywood.
If all else fails and you cannot get a new bed frame, you can always go back to your faculty days and sleep with your mattress on the floor! You can also look around online for creative ways to decorate the room to make it seem homier and inviting.
