Can you guess which was the fastest growing retailer last year?

It’s not Amazon, nor is it Walmart. It’s an online mattress company but not Casper, Leesa, or any of the other well-known brand.

It’s Nectar Sleep, a company that started selling bed-in-a-box mattresses as recently as 2017.

Nectar Sleep saw a 525% growth in 2018, more than any other online mattress company or any retailer for that matter.

To tap into this growth, the parent company behind the Nectar mattress, DreamCloud Holding, is re-branding ‘Resident.’

The company already has several brands under its umbrella in addition to Nectar Sleep. They include Wovenly for rugs and three other mattress brands (Dream-cloud, Awara, and Level Sleep).

With the rebranding, the parent company wants to expand into all kinds of home furnishings.

“The mattress is the gateway into the home, but we don't want our business to begin and end in the bedroom,” said Ran Reske, a co-founder of the resident.

All Resident products will be direct-to-consumer meaning you can only buy them online.

Similar to the Nectar mattress, which has a lifetime warranty and a 1-year trial period, they’ll come with generous terms including long trial periods and warranties.

For an idea of what to expect from Resident, here is a quick rundown of their brands.

Bundle

Nectar rebrands expands - The Bundle Sofa

Along with the announcement of the re-branding, the company introduced its newest product, Bundle.

It’s a flexible sofa that you can customize to your needs and style preferences.

There’s also a Bundle beanbag with plush memory foam filling and silky durable fabric. It’s available in three colors.

Shopping is free for the sofa and beanbag, and you get a 60-day free trial period with free returns.

Woovenly

Woovenly

Woovenly is Resident’s rugs business.

Their products include carpets, area rugs, and runners. You can shop by style (modern, vintage, Persian & Moroccan, etc.) or by room such as the kitchen, living room and bedroom.

Shipping is free for all products, and returns are free as well.

You get 60 days to try the rug in your home. If you don’t like it, you’ll get a full refund.

DreamCloud

DreamCloud Mattress

DreamCloud is a luxury firm hybrid mattress that bills itself as a premium but affordable mattress (you can read our full DreamCloud review here).

It’s 15” thick with eight layers of foam and springs. A Euro pillow top provides a luxurious 5-star hotel sleeping experience.

The DreamCloud mattress comes with free shipping, a 365-night trial period, and a lifetime warranty.

Awara

Awara mattress

If memory foam is not your thing, you’ll prefer the Awara mattress over the more popular Nectar mattress.

Awara is an eco-friendly latex hybrid mattress.

It’s made from pocket coils, organic GOLS-certified Dunlop latex, and a GOTS-certified organic cotton cover with natural wool quilting.

Being a latex and innerspring mattress, its bouncy (perfect for couples), has excellent support and contouring and sleeps cooler than any memory foam mattress.

A Queen size goes for $999, which is a great bargain for a mattress containing organic latex.

The terms are the same as those of the DreamCloud mattress – a 1-year trial period and a forever warranty.

Shipping is free as returns.

Level Sleep

Level Sleep mattress

Level Sleep is a therapeutic mattress that’s designed to prevent or reduce back pain.

It has three variable firmness zones that provide targeted support and pressure relief: soft at the top to cushion your shoulders, firm in the middle to support your lower back and medium firm to support and hug your lower body.

You can read the company’s research to find out how they designed the mattress to help with back and shoulder pain and reduce tossing and turning.

Terms are similar to those of Awara and DreamCloud–365-night trial, forever warranty, free shipping, and free returns.

Nectar

Nectar is a high-quality memory foam mattress designed for all kinds of sleepers. It’s the cheapest of all Resident’s mattress brands and the most popular.
