Are you thinking about buying the Leesa mattress or have you already bought one but still have a few questions?
Here are the most commonly asked questions about the Leesa mattress warranty, shipping, construction, returns and care.
If you have any other question that I have not answered in the FAQs, feel free to ask in the comments below or read our in-depth Leesa mattress review.
Where can I buy the Leesa mattress?
The best place to buy it is on their website. This ensures you enjoy their 100-night trial and any offers and discounts they might have.
There are also other retailers who stock the Leesa mattress. You can find it on Amazon. Pottery Barn and West Elm also carry the mattress.
If you buy at Pottery Barn or West Elm, the 100-night in-home still applies.
You also get 100 nights to return the mattress if you bought at Amazon. But you can only return via Amazon.
What’s Inside the Leesa Mattress?
Leesa is an all-foam mattress with three layers.
The first layer consists of adaptive LSA200 foam (which replaced Avena foam), which has Latex-like qualities. It’s responsive, provides good support and stays cool at night.
The middle layer is memory foam which conforms around your body.
The last layer is poly foam which provides deep compression support and ensures the mattress lasts for at least 10 years without sagging.
My Leesa mattress review has more details about each layer and what it does.
Does Leesa offer financing?
Yes, they have Affirm financing. Payment options are 6, 12 and 18 months at 0% APR.
Does Leesa have free shipping?
Yes, they ship free to all 50 states in the United States. This includes Alaska and Hawaii where most other companies charge for shipping.
Will Leesa help me set up the mattress?
Yes they can through the optional white glove delivery program. It costs $100.
Leesa will call to arrange delivery and setup after the mattress has been shipped. You or someone else must be home at the time of delivery to direct the couriers where to set up the mattress.
Will Leesa take away my old mattress?
Yes they can at an additional cost of $50. They will properly dispose it for you.
Can I set up the Leesa mattress myself?
Totally. The mattresses don’t weigh a ton and they are delivered in compact boxes.
The hardest part is getting the mattress to your bedroom.
Have someone help you carry it. After that, you just need to unbox the rolled up mattress and put it on one side of the platform or foundation.
Then cut away the packaging, unroll it and watch it expand to its full size.
Does the Leesa mattress smell?
A bit. But this is common with most foam mattresses.
Many people describe the smell to be similar to that of a new car. It fades away quickly for most people but some can smell it even after several weeks.
Does the Leesa mattress contain any harmful chemicals?
Leesa uses foams that are CertiPUR-US certified. That means they don’t have harmful stuff like ozone depleters, heavy metals, phthalates and formaldehyde.
The Leesa mattress also doesn’t use chemical fire retardants. Instead, they use a fire sock made from fire-resistant fibers.
Can I place the Leesa mattress on a box spring?
Yes you can as long as it is in a good condition. You can also use a solid platform, a solid foundation or a slatted base with slats a max 3” apart.
Can I remove the Leesa mattress cover for cleaning?
Leesa recommends that you don’t remove the cover or attempt to clean it in the washer. You should only spot clean it using cold water and mild detergent.
To reduce the risk of stains, consider using a waterproof mattress protector.
How do I return the Leesa mattress?
Leesa mattress returns are super easy.
As long as you’ve slept on the mattress for at least 30 nights (a requirement by Leesa) you can contact customer support to initiate the return process.
That’s all you need to do. You don’t have to put the mattress back into the box (which is impossible anyway) or ship it back to them.
They will arrange how to pick it up from your home.
Does Leesa have free returns?
Yes, except for Alaska and Hawaii customers who are charged $100 for returns.
